Rogall + Co is seeking a motivated Home Services Inspector to join our team. This entry to mid-level position is focused on assessing properties for damage, maintenance needs, and potential service opportunities. Location: Travel within San Luis Obispo County
Duties and Responsibilities
Conduct thorough investigations of homes, identifying damage from the elements, wear and tear, and invasive substrates.
Document observations using photos, notes, and inspection reports.
Provide recommendations for maintenance, repairs, or specialized services.
Organize job sites: ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper setup/teardown procedures.
Maintain professionalism and deliver a positive client experience during site visits.
Follow safety protocols and actively participate in regular safety training.
Keep inspection areas safe, clean, and organized.
Follow company protocols for entering/exiting job sites and handling tools.
Participate in job site safety meetings and training sessions.
Adhere to all safety guidelines when working at heights and on various exterior surfaces.
Actively engage in ongoing training to refine inspection skills and technical knowledge.
Qualifications and Experience
High school diploma or GED.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation, with a clean driving record
Ability to work at heights and traverse diverse outdoor environments.
Meticulous attention to detail and strong observational skills.
Strong written and verbal communication.
Well-organized, safety-oriented, and coachable.
Preferred:
Certification or training in home inspection (e.g., ASHI, InterNACHI, or equivalent).
1+ year experience in construction, maintenance, quality control, or inspection-related tasks.
Familiarity with inspection documentation and report preparation.
OSHA 10 certification or similar safety training.
Benefits:
Hiring Range: $18-$25 per hour
Five paid sick days per year.
