SLP responsibilities
Assess, develop, and implement speech therapy treatment plans with measurable goals.
Engage patients with fun, age-appropriate games and activities to keep them motivated.
Coordinate with team members to ensure quality care.
SLP qualifications
Certification in Speech Language Pathology and valid state license to practice in Texas.
Basic Physical Requirements
Must be able to maintain various postures such as kneeling, sitting, standing, squatting for extended periods of time.
Must be able to regularly walk and run for extended periods of time.
Must be able to transition from sitting to standing and vice versa independently.
Must be able to utilize quick body movements as may be required by the behavior intervention plan.
Must be able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds.
Must be able to transfer/position/transport patients and adaptive equipment.
Must have the visual ability to read and understand written communication via computer, electronic devices, and paper means.
Must have the manual dexterity to perform electronic device functions such as data collection.
