Home Health Aide/HHA (Kindred Place at Harrisburg)

The Home Health Aide provides Kindred Place of Harrisburg clients with routine daily nursing care and services ensuring the highest quality of care is maintained at all times. Current PA CNA certification is required for this position.

Responsibilities:

Follow established client care plan to assist with activities of daily living to including dressing, bathing, etc.;

Review documentation regularly to determine if changes in care have been made;

Keep nurse supervisor informed of changes or concerns;

Collect specimens and assist clients in preparing for medical tests;

Assist clients in getting to activities and social programs;

Measure and record vital signs;

Assist non-ambulatory clients with transfers and other areas, as needed;

Observe and report the presence of pressure areas and skin breakdown

Provide assistance with self medication as directed;

Provide range of motion exercises;

Prepare client meals, escort to dining room, and assist clients with eating as needed;

Help client prepare food in apartment and assist with shopping, as directed;

Perform routine housekeeping duties;

Assist in orienting other home health aides;

Complete all electronic and manual documentation accurately and thoroughly; and,

Complete other assigned duties, as instructed.

Requirements:

High school diploma or equivalency preferred;

Active PA CNA Certification required;

Ability to deal tactfully with personnel, residents, families, visitors, and government agency representatives;

The willingness to work harmoniously with other personnel.
