SUMMARY
Home Care Aides (HCA) provide nonmedical services and assistance to clients in their homes and communities who, because of advanced age or physical or mental disability, cannot perform these services.
These services include but are not limited to the following; bathing, dressing, feeding, exercising, personal hygiene, grooming, transferring, ambulating, positioning, toileting, incontinence care, assisting client self-administer medication, housekeeping, meal planning/preparation, laundry, transportation, correspondence, making telephone calls, shopping for personal care items or groceries, and companionship.
Home Care Aides (HCA) are responsible for ensuring that service is delivered in a caring and respectful manner by relevant Agency policies, industry standards, and state regulations.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
LIVE SCAN Fingerprint Clearance or Clearance Verified on the Home Care Aide Registry;
Current Tuberculosis (TB) certificate;
18 years of age or older;
Able to sign and understand ASL & assist deaf clients
Valid I-9 Employment Eligibility Verification documents;
Current driver’s license OR identification card & Willing to travel
Located in the Greater Los Angeles Area
ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Assist with the activities of daily living and personal care.
Ensure client safety and security by supervising the home environment.
Provide proper care to deaf or hard of hearing clients
