We are hiring a qualified and passionate History Teacher for a reputed Cambridge Board school in Bangalore. This role involves delivering engaging and academically rigorous History lessons aligned with the Cambridge curriculum, preferably IGCSE and AS & A Level. The ideal candidate will create a stimulating classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, research skills, and analytical reasoning. You will play a key role in preparing students for academic excellence while fostering curiosity, global awareness, and a deep appreciation for historical perspectives.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver structured, engaging History lessons aligned with the Cambridge (IGCSE/AS & A Level) curriculum
• Develop lesson plans, assessments, and teaching materials in accordance with curriculum standards
• Encourage critical thinking, independent research, and analytical discussion in the classroom
• Prepare students for internal assessments and board examinations effectively
• Monitor, evaluate, and document student progress, providing constructive and timely feedback
• Guide students in research projects, presentations, and coursework requirements
• Maintain accurate academic records and participate in parent-teacher interactions
• Collaborate with fellow educators to support interdisciplinary learning and school initiatives
• Create a positive, inclusive, and well-managed learning environment
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in History or a related discipline
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
• Prior experience teaching Cambridge/IGCSE curriculum is an advantage
• Strong subject expertise with the ability to simplify complex historical concepts
• Excellent communication and classroom management skills
• Ability to engage students through interactive and inquiry-based teaching methods
• Strong planning, assessment, and organizational abilities
