Regional Sales Achievement
• Based on corporate objectives set regional sales and resource budgets (human and financial).
• Communicate clear vision (POA), field tactics and objectives to the sales force for the promoted product groups.
• Ensure establishment of SFE monitoring systems correlating potential for business, investment of activities & results achieved.
• Regularly review achievement of regional sales against targets and initiate appropriate actions to ensure performance is in line with objectives.
• Ensure enlistment of newly launched and key products in hospitals and clinics.
Regional Business Planning and Strategy Development
• In collaboration with marketing, conduct SWOT analysis of market/competitors to identify regional business opportunities and produce POA with field tactics for academic promotion.
• Develop Regional Business Plan based on corporate objectives & allocate resources (human, financial) for optimal academic promotion impact.
• Monitor regional business plan to ensure resources are directed to regions of greatest potential.
• Monitor regional business plans to ensure appropriateness of intended actions, implementation, and that resources are directed to districts of greatest potential.
Coaching and Team Development
• Ensure recruitment and training guidelines are in place for all salesforce positions, identifying competencies. required for position success and ensuring training delivers required competencies.
• Ensure that the selection process for all sales force positions identifies candidates with required competencies and in a timely fashion.
• Develop a high-performance management culture across sales teams and set up processes to establish, communicate and monitor measurable performance objectives.
• Conduct regular talent review to identify, develop and retain key talents and build a robust leadership pipeline.
• Attend sales team meetings to oversee and coach RSM’ s on team leadership competencies.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance team motivation.
• Monitor RSM’ s review of DSM’ s in-field MR coaching to ensure core academic messages delivered within approved detail aids and in line with action plan.
• Ensure that RSM’ s understand and comply with AZ Code of Conduct and all applicable laws and regulations.
Reporting/ Administration
• Ensure availability of meaningful and accurate sales statistics for management information.
• Monitor regions’ administration/ expenses ensuring these comply with guidelines, budget, local regulatory requirements and the AZ Code of Conduct.
• Monitor RSMs’ monthly reports to ensure relevance and implementation of intended actions.
Personal Development
• Develop behaviors leading to enhanced effectiveness as outlined in RSD Competency definitions.
• Communicate, develop and role model AZ culture and leadership behaviors.
• Develop individual and team accountability.
• Identify areas for self-development and discuss developmental needs.
• Attend & actively participate in salesforce meetings and training.
