We are seeking an experienced and passionate A/AS Level English Teacher for a reputed Cambridge curriculum school in Bangalore. This role involves delivering high-quality English instruction aligned with Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level standards. The ideal candidate will foster a deep appreciation for literature while strengthening students’ analytical thinking, writing proficiency, and communication skills. You will play a key role in preparing students for academic success in board examinations while encouraging independent thought and intellectual curiosity through student-centered learning approaches.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Plan and deliver engaging, high-quality English lessons aligned with Cambridge IGCSE, AS, and A Level standards
• Develop students’ skills in literary analysis, critical thinking, structured writing, and effective communication
• Prepare detailed lesson plans, worksheets, assessments, and exam-focused learning materials
• Guide students in coursework, assignments, and examination preparation strategies
• Monitor and evaluate student progress, providing timely and constructive feedback
• Maintain accurate academic records and communicate progress with parents when required
• Participate actively in academic planning, departmental meetings, and curriculum development initiatives
• Contribute to broader school programs and interdisciplinary activities
What Makes You a Great Fit
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in English Literature or a related field
• B.Ed. or equivalent teaching qualification preferred
• Prior experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE/AS/A Level English
• Strong subject expertise with the ability to interpret and teach diverse literary texts
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to create engaging, discussion-driven, and student-focused classroom environments
