We are currently looking for a High Pressure Labourer to join our Blackfoot, AB Vertex Team. We are looking for someone local to the area. We are offering a 5/2 rotational schedule (Monday to Friday), with the requirement to work evenings and weekends when applicable.
Start Date: April 20, 2026
Duties and Responsibilities
Participate in the safety program by ensuring all company and customer policies & procedures are adhered to
Attendance and participation in toolbox talk and safety meetings, FLRA’s, hazard assessment development, pre-trips/post-trips
Willing to work as a team player with coworkers, contractors, and customers
Able to demonstrate competent operation of equipment
Ensure customer and client satisfaction by always providing excellent customer service
Follow all local, provincial and federal compliance regulations and rules
Ensure all training requirements are up to date and current
Perform maintenance on units to ensure cleanliness and efficient operation
Complete and maintain all required paperwork and documentation properly within set timelines; this includes daily logs, waste manifests etc.
Workload and schedules may vary depending on emergency situations and routine work that can be punctuated by very busy periods; this is a 24-hour business and the hours can be erratic
Travel is required and driving will occur in all weather conditions to various customer and/or Vertex worksites
Ability to lift heavy tools and parts
Must be able to work at heights of more than 6 feet
Candidate Qualifications
2-3 years of experience with operating High Pressure equipment 10, 15 and 20k pressure
Experience operating dump guns
Experience performing jobs such as but not limited to; 3D Washing, Line Cleaning, Bundle Blasting
Knowledge and experience in Pulp & Paper, Thermal and Oil & Gas considered an asset
The requirement to work shift rotation, days, evenings and weekends when applicable
Drug & Alcohol, Mask Fit and Audio Testing (Provided by Vertex)
PPE (provided by Vertex)
Steel Toe Rubber Boots requirement

Energy Safety Canada Confined Space Entry and Monitor
Energy Safety Canada Fall Protection
First Aid (Considered an Asset)
