Job Description

Due to a large contract win, Sapphire Utility Solutions are seeking several HGV Operatives based in Lancashire to work on our United Utilities workstream.

Salary: £34,815-£36,950 per annum (depending on experience)

Hours: 50 hours per week (Monday to Friday, days. Flexible start times)

Overtime: paid at time and a half.

About the role:

We are seeking several HGV operatives to join us due to a large long term contract that Sapphire Utility Solutions have won. You will be driving one of our Class 2 vehicles and supporting with pre-survey's, CCTV and jetting of the drainage network. Ideally you will have drainage experience however training will be provided for the right candidate.

Responsibilities - but not limited to:

You will be operating a Class 2 vehicle (either a Cityflex or Recycler), ensuring vehicle checks are done prior to departing the site

You will be working closely with another Drainage Engineer to clean, camera and carry out sewer investigations as directed by United Utilities

Attending to customers, informing them of works to be carried out and answering any concerns as well as timescales

Inspect drainage systems to identify blockages, leaks, or damage that could hinder water flow

Operate high-pressure water jetting equipment to clean and clear blockages in drains, sewers, pipes, and other wastewater systems.

Assist with CCTV inspections where required to assess the condition of underground pipes and sewers.

Competent in using an electronic device - laptop / tablet for data entry purposes

Ensuring safety issues are reported in line with company procedures

Requirements for the role:

A manual UK Drivers licence is mandatory with no more than 6 penalty points

Holding a Class 2 licence with a valid in date CPC

Experience is desirable however if you're looking to start your career within utilities full training will be offered.
