Job Description

For almost 50 years, Williams F1 Team has been at the forefront of one of the fastest sports on the planet, being one of the top three most successful teams in history competing in the FIA Formula 1 World Championship. With an almost unrivalled heritage of engineering and racing F1 cars and unforgettable eras that demonstrate it is a force to be reckoned with, the British squad boasts 16 F1 World Championship titles to its name.

Since its foundation in 1977 by the eminent, late Sir Frank Williams and engineering pioneer Sir Patrick Head, the team has won nine Constructors’ Championships, in association with Cosworth, Honda and Renault. Its roll call of drivers is legendary, with its seven Drivers’ Championship trophies being lifted by true icons of the sport: Alan Jones, Keke Rosberg, Nelson Piquet, Nigel Mansell, Alain Prost, Damon Hill and Jacques Villeneuve. The team has made history before and is out to make it again with a long-term mission to evolve and return to the front of the grid.

We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Heritage Programme Coordinator to take full ownership of a bespoke heritage car programme, delivering it from initial design and planning through to build, delivery, and on‑track operation.

This is a uniquely exciting opportunity to work at the heart of our Heritage team, coordinating across senior leadership, design, workshop, parts supply and customers to ensure projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the exacting technical and quality standards expected of the Williams brand.

Alongside end‑to‑end programme delivery, you will plan, prepare, and manage the running of our bespoke heritage cars at events, ensuring professional execution and an exceptional customer experience throughout.

Programme Management

• Plan, coordinate, and deliver the full lifecycle of heritage car projects, working closely with all Heritage departments.
• Act as the primary point of contact for Heritage Management, Design, Workshop, Parts Supply, and customers.
• Define scope, schedules, milestones, and deliverables to ensure successful programme completion.
• Lead regular programme review meetings to maintain alignment and drive progress.
• Monitor programme costs, forecast expenditure, and ensure delivery within agreed budgets.
• Proactively identify risks, anticipate issues, and implement effective mitigation strategies.
• Support parts procurement and availability to meet build and operational demands.

Event & On‑Track Operations

• Work with customers to plan test days, demonstrations, and event participation.
• Manage on‑track operations, ensuring safe, professional, and seamless running of heritage vehicles.
• Uphold premium standards of customer experience at all events.

Continuous Improvement

• Identify opportunities to enhance programme delivery, internal processes, and customer satisfaction.

Key Accountabilities

• Demonstrate and promote Williams Values & Behaviours.
• Maintain high standards of conduct, professionalism, and departmental representation.
• Ensure compliance with all Health & Safety requirements.
• Adhere to brand guidelines and support the upkeep of exceptional departmental presentation.
• Work to agreed quality standards and contribute to ongoing improvements.
• Maintain an understanding of cost cap rules and requirements.

Core Competencies

• Ability to work under pressure and remain adaptable when faced with challenges.
• Strong interpersonal and relationship‑building skills, with the confidence to collaborate across multiple technical teams.
• A proactive, solutions‑driven mindset with excellent organisational capability.

This job description is not exhaustive, and the job holder will be required to carry out from time-to-time tasks in addition to the above that will be both reasonable and within their capabilities.

• Proven experience delivering complex motorsport projects or programmes.
• Strong understanding of Operations, Car Assembly, Parts, and Inventory processes.
• Experience of working with procurement functions and understanding the impact of parts supply on programme delivery.
