Job Description

We are looking for a 1st/2nd Line Support Engineer for a Gold Microsoft certified partner of ours based in St Leonards on Sea. This amazing client of ours are a small yet very dynamic company which have been established for over 25 years. They are passionate about technology providing technology solutions for small and medium sized businesses and educational establishments.

As a Microsoft Gold Microsoft Partner, you’ll need to have extensive exposure to Windows 10 and previous Windows Operating Systems and the Microsoft Office product suites including Office 365
• You’ll also have experience of mobile operating systems and an understanding of VoIP solutions
• Windows Server Active Directory Management and GPOs
• Industry qualifications, ideally Microsoft MTA
• Full UK driving license.

Comfortable with the following technology:

Windows 10, Server 2008-2019, Hyper-V, Office 365 Remote Desktop Services, Active Directory, Group Policy, DNS, TCP/IP & Routing, Switching, Firewall, VPNs, Mac OSX, VoIP, Android, DELL, IP telecoms/SIP, WAP, Cat5e/Fibre.

The role:

As part of the role you’ll be expected to:

• Accurately record all support calls and associated time entries in out ticket management system
• Proactively monitor email support queues
• Carry out scheduled maintenance and updates on client environments, usually outside production hours
• Understand the implications of weak security and always follow a best practice approach to cyber and network security
• Maintain a polite and professional approach at all time

• Liaise with third party vendors
• Prepare hardware prior to delivery including deploying OS image, Office 365, security application
• Assist with hardware deployment to client sites
• Visit client sites to conclude escalated helpdesk support cases
• Liaise with Projects Team
• Report to Helpdesk Manager
