JOB SUMMARY:
The Heavy Equipment Spotter reports to a Lead Hand/Foreman. They are responsible for spotting heavy equipment in a construction environment, ensuring safety protocols are followed, and supporting the efficient flow of operations.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Working up to 5 - 6 days a week, 8 - 10 hours a day.
Perform miscellaneous laboring activities to support the installation of underground utilities.
Safely spot heavy equipment, including excavators, backhoes, loaders, and skid steers in various outdoor construction settings.
Communicate effectively with equipment operators to guide them safely through work areas.
Maintain clear communication with the construction team to coordinate movements and ensure efficient workflow.
Adhere to all safety regulations and protocols, prioritizing the safety of yourself and your team members at all times.
Complete ongoing maintenance of work area, trenches and equipment, ensuring clean and safe operations.
Manual labour tasks to support underground utility installation.
REQUIREMENTS:
Class 5 Driver’s License and reliable vehicle.
Valid Ground Disturbance - Level 2 is required.
Ability to lift 75lbs.
Prior experience in operating heavy equipment is preferred, but not required. A strong desire to pursue a career in equipment operation is essential.
Understanding of construction site safety practices and protocols.
Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Physical ability to perform tasks such as standing, walking, bending, and lifting heavy objects.
Willingness to work in various weather conditions and outdoor environments.
