Summary: Proficiently operate a variety of heavy equipment utilized in the construction, maintenance, and repair of roads, highways, parking lots, and other large site jobs.
Essential Functions:
Drive and operate heavy equipment of various sizes and weights used in road, site, or highway construction and paving.
Operate assigned equipment following our daily procedures and protocols, or as instructed by supervisor:
Perform routine inspections and preventive maintenance.
Pefer defects or needed repairs to supervisor.
Maintain equipment clean.
Assist the team and perform a variety of tasks involving strenuous manual labor in heavy/roads/highway/ residential/ commercial construction project
Assist with MOT (installation & maintenance of traffic control devices at work sites, by flagging to guide traffic through work areas, as required or assigned).
Follow OSHA safety procedures and company safety guidelines.
Job Requirements
Valid driver’s license and a minimum of three years of driving experience with a clean driving history
Valid Driver’s License
At least three years' experience in Road Construction (preferred).
Knowledge of heavy-equipment operating principles
Drive and operate equipment under varying working conditions.
Perform manual work requiring periods of extensive physical exertion and potential exposure to adverse weather conditions.
Ability to work from construction specifications or blueprints.
Knowledge of hazards and safety precautions common to heavy equipment operation, as well as methods, materials, and tools used in street and road construction work.
