About this Role
The Heavy Equipment Operator is responsible for operating front-end loaders, dozers, graders, shovels, compactors, trucks and other pieces of equipment on various construction sites for Taggart Construction projects
Key Responsibilities
The person will be responsible for operating heavy construction equipment which may include front-end loaders, dozers, graders, shovels, compactors, trucks and other pieces of equipment, based on the company’s needs.
The person must always perform circle checks of equipment and clean, maintain and secure all equipment as directed by legislation, policies and procedures of the company
Adhere to workplace safety policies, regulations and compliances.
Travel to various construction sites within and around Ottawa to operate machinery.
Education and Experience Requirements
Minimum of five years of experience operating heavy machinery.
Must have the ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
A valid driver’s license is required.
Physical/Sensory Effort and Work Environment
You work outdoors and on-site in challenging weather conditions.
Sitting or standing for long periods of time at workstation.
Work environment can be busy and loud.
