Job Description
Timber Creek Recycling is seeking a motivated and highly skilled Heavy Equipment Operator to join our growing team. The ideal candidate will have some experience operating a variety of heavy equipment, including trommels, loaders, excavators, crushers, grinders, and other machinery used in recycling or industrial environments. We are looking for a dependable professional who thrives in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment and is committed to safety, quality, and teamwork. Qualified applicants will have experience working independently and will be able to occasionally travel outside the Treasure Valley for up to several weeks at a time.
Responsibilities
Operate heavy equipment such as trommels, loaders, excavators, and telehandlers safely and efficiently for the processing, transfer, and storage of materials.
Inspect and maintain equipment to ensure proper functionality, cleanliness, and compliance with safety standards.
Monitor production operations to ensure deadlines are met while adhering to safety and quality requirements outlined in Timber Creek Recycling’s Operations Plan.
Perform regular equipment inspections and document findings in compliance with company standards.
Continuously maintain and organize the work area, adhering to good manufacturing practices.
Report any equipment malfunctions, safety concerns, or quality issues promptly to the supervisor or Production Manager.
Perform other duties as assigned to support site operations.
Qualifications
Proven experience operating heavy equipment such as trommels, loaders, excavators, crushers, and grinders in an industrial, construction, or recycling setting.
Physical Requirements: Ability to lift 55 pounds above shoulder height, stand, walk, twist, and move for extended periods (up to 12 hours).
Strong knowledge of material screening, manufacturing processes, and heavy equipment maintenance.
Proficient oral and written communication skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently while meeting performance and safety standards.
A track record of reliable attendance and adherence to safety protocols.
Valid CDL, Class A/B desired.
