Job Summary

We are a family-owned excavating company seeking a dependable Heavy Equipment Mechanic to join our team. This full-time position involves maintaining, diagnosing, and repairing a wide variety of heavy equipment and trucks to keep our operations running safely and efficiently. Some experience is preferred, but we value a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.

Responsibilities

Perform routine maintenance and repairs on heavy equipment and company vehicles

Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical issues

Conduct inspections to ensure equipment is operating safely

Keep accurate maintenance and repair records

Work with operators and management to address equipment concerns

Maintain a clean and organized work area

Follow all safety policies and procedures

Equipment May Include

Excavators

Loaders

Dozers

Skid steers

Dump trucks and support vehicles

Qualifications

Some experience as a heavy equipment or diesel mechanic preferred

Basic knowledge of hydraulic, electrical, and mechanical systems

Ability to troubleshoot and repair equipment efficiently

Strong attention to detail and safety

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Valid driver’s license required

Position Details
