Responsibilities:
The purpose of this position is to transport equipment to and from specified destinations in a timely manner. This includes:
Knowledge of appropriate load securement
Ability to load and unload equipment
Maintains and checks truck’s equipment and supplies to assure roadworthiness
Notifies supervisor of currently needed or anticipated repairs
Checks vehicle to ensure that mechanical, safety and emergency equipment is in good working order (pre-trip/post-trip inspection)
Verifies the types of materials being hauled as well as their weight
Keeps truck clean and in good working order
Responsible for minor repairs and servicing of assigned equipment to maintain safety and continued operation on a day-to-day basis
Performs other tasks as needed
Complies with Company Safety Program
Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in moving heavy construction equipment using lowboy tractor trailer
Valid Class A CDL with doubles-triples endorsement
Acceptable driving record
Strong safety record
Must successfully pass pre-employment (post offer) drug screen, background check, motor vehicle record checks
Must be able to travel throughout Minnesota, North and South Dakota
Regular, consistent attendance and regular overtime at all assigned job sites
Ability to work cooperatively with others
Physical strength and endurance to perform all principal duties and responsibilities
Safety oriented mindset
Strong communicator both oral and written
Ability to work as a member of a team
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
General computer knowledge
Ability to prioritize, solve problems and demonstrate resourcefulness
