Benchmark Companies is seeking dependable, heavy equipment field service technician / mechanic for work in our land clearing and mulch manufacturing divisions. We offer a steady, full time schedule, laid back atmosphere, and growth opportunities. This position will be responsible for scheduled preventative maintenance on our fleet of construction and forestry equipment (Excavators, dozers, wheel loaders, horizontal grinders) as well as the equipment repair of that same fleet.
Applicants must be able to troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair machines in our fleet. Experience on every machine type we operate is unnecessary, but applicants must possess ability to see a repair through to completion.
Expect average of 55 hours worked per week. Pay based on experience and skill level. Some travel is available certain times of the year.
Must be a well-organized self-starter with good written and verbal communications skills and a positive attitude who takes pride in delivering quality work. Experience or schooling on modern diesel engines, computer systems, electronics, drivetrain, air brakes, and DEF systems needed.
Ability to pass mandated Department of Transportation physical exam and a clean drug screen
