Job Title: Healthcare Operations & Care Coordination Specialist
Job Code: [KL-VK]
Position type: Full-time
Work Hours: 9:00 AM – 6:00 PM (Eastern Time), Monday through Friday
Note: Occasional overtime on Saturdays
Salary: $5-$7 per hour depending on experience
Key Responsibilities:
• Oversee appointment scheduling, reminders, and proactive patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
• Manage and maintain EMR systems, including pulling, structuring, and auditing medical records for accuracy and compliance.
• Handle patient inquiries via phone, email, and portals while coordinating with providers, labs, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
• Support telehealth platforms and assist providers with documentation and virtual care workflows.
• Develop and standardize SOPs, create training materials, and improve internal processes.
• Prepare reports, spreadsheets, and presentations for operational tracking and performance monitoring.
• Assist with insurance verification, claims follow-ups, and general administrative support to enhance revenue cycle efficiency.
Requirements:
Experience Requirements
• At least 1 year of experience in appointment scheduling, reminders, and patient follow-ups to ensure continuity of care.
• Proficient in managing EMR/EHR systems, including record auditing for accuracy and compliance.
• Strong patient communication skills and experience coordinating with providers, labs, pharmacies, and insurance companies.
• Familiarity with telehealth platforms and provider documentation support.
• Ability to develop SOPs, training materials, and improve internal processes.
• Skilled in preparing reports and tracking operational performance.
• Knowledge of insurance verification, claims follow-ups, and revenue cycle support.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills.
Basic requirements
• Must be proficient in speaking and writing English very clearly
• Must have relevant work experience
• Be able to submit an NBI clearance and/or Local Police Clearance background check before onboarding [mandatory]
• Must be available for video meetings with your camera on (when needed)
