Position:
We are seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable Health and Safety Training Coordinator to join our team. This role is vital in ensuring the safety of our employees, maintaining compliance with regulations, and fostering a strong safety culture throughout the organization.
Key Responsibilities:
Coordinate external training and site access requirements.
Oversee near misses, incidents, and accident investigations, reporting, and tracking processes.
Management WSIB submissions as needed
Maintain up-to-date health and safety policies and procedures.
Create and deliver internal training courses.
Maintain up-to-date training records.
Create and deliver relevant toolbox talks.
Coordinate and participate as a management representative on the Joint Health and Safety Committee (JHSC).
Perform field inspections and audits
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
Strong communication and people skills.
Ability to work full-time - early mornings, days, evenings, nights, and weekends as necessary
Mine site experience.
Working knowledge of health and safety-related legislation.
Must have a valid driver’s license and clean abstract.
Train the Trainer certification considered an asset.
Bilingual – French and English considered an asset.
