We are looking for a highly skilled Health, Safety & Environment (HS&E) Compliance Specialist to join our team in Mexico. This role is ideal for a proactive professional who thrives in dynamic environments, enjoys partnering closely with operational teams, and is passionate about elevating safety and regulatory excellence in the Manufacturing sector.
As an integral member of our regional HS&E function, you will provide authoritative guidance on legal compliance, support strategic safety initiatives, and drive the implementation of best‑in‑class systems that align with both client and regulatory standards. You will be a trusted advisor to local teams and a key contributor to our commitment to operational excellence and continuous improvement.
• Provide authoritative guidance to the Mexico team, with a strong focus on legal compliance areas including:
– Risk assessments
– Legal audits and responses to claims from local authorities related to labor and site safety inspections
– Safety committee workstreams
– Determination of contingencies and job‑position adaptations
– Incident investigations and reporting
• Plan and develop strategic HS&E work systems, recommending processes aligned with client expectations and regulatory requirements, particularly within the Data Centre segment.
• Support site safety teams by ensuring robust reporting structures are maintained for all Health & Safety performance metrics.
• Enable business transformation by supporting effective change‑management processes in a fast‑paced operational environment.
• Implement and continuously review the Company’s global safety policies, ensuring alignment with applicable local legislation.
• Maintain and enhance professional competence to meet evolving business and client needs.
• Manage and deliver regional projects with flexibility, ensuring effective execution across multiple locations.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Architecture, or a related field in Health & Safety.
• Minimum of 7 years of professional experience.
• Qualified Health & Safety professional holding a Master’s degree in Occupational Health & Safety, in accordance with Mexican regulations.
• Demonstrated ability to adapt general methods and processes to meet client and business needs; experience in Data Centres or high‑technical/mission‑critical projects is essential.
• Significant Health & Safety experience, ideally within an industrial or high‑tech environment.
• Flexible, self‑directed professional with strong prioritization and workload‑management skills.
• Proven ability to lead and manage HS&E teams effectively.
• Excellent communication and influencing skills, with a results‑driven, determined approach.
• Comfortable communicating at all organizational levels within a large enterprise.
• In‑depth understanding of Mexican Health & Safety legislation.
• Ability to quickly build credibility and drive buy‑in for change through strong influencing strategies.
• Fluency in Spanish and English.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills (essential).
• Strong organizational and planning abilities with a consistent track record of meeting deadlines (essential).
• Proficient IT skills for generating reports and documentation.
• Strong client‑focused mindset and ability to demonstrate empathy.
• Solutions‑oriented and proactive in addressing challenges.
