Freedom Behavioral Hospital of Monroe is a 82 bed, acute adult/geriatric psych facility located in Monroe, Louisiana. We are looking for an experienced Health Information Manager.
Health Information Manager is responsible for successful maintenance of patient records and organizational and administrative operation of the Health Information Management Department. Manages the responsibility for operational aspects of department. Serves as resource for facility regarding medical record content and regulatory requirements. Assures availability of the medical records at all times. Assures duties are done in accordance with facility policies and procedures, JCAHO, federal and state regulations, and QAPI standards.
PREFERRED KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND/OR EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education: High school diploma with additional training in Health Information Management department functions (i.e. certified health information management technician or other such certification or training).
License: State of Practice. If applicable
Experience: At least 1-year supervisory experience and 5 years as an HIM Manager or an equivalent role. Psychiatric HIM experience is preferred to adequately perform duties in this position.
Accustomed to using mobile tools and applications
Acquired ability to observe goals as minimum standards and always strives to exceed minimum standards
Proficient knowledge of tablets and smart phones
