Under the direction/supervision of the clinical team, you will perform direct patient services tasks.

Accountabilities:

• Assisting with patient transfer/care, patient temperatures, weighing and utilizing aseptic techniques
• Accommodation and support services responsibilities including:• Comprehensive cleaning, preparation and disinfection of dialysis machines
• Preparation of dialysis pre-packages, waste removal, linen, and restock of supplies
• Transporting equipment and supplies with solution and maintenance of a safe environment

• Registered with Health and Supportive Care Providers Oversight Authority (HSCPOA)
• Personal Support Worker Certificate required from an accredited institution
• Basic Knowledge of aseptic techniques
• Current CPR
• Recent experience working in a highly technical patient care environment
• Excellent organizational and prioritization skills
• Excellent interpersonal, communication and comprehension skills
• Flexibility to meet unit needs
• Ability to work well with team members
• Basic computer skills and knowledge of Meditech system
• Excellent attendance, punctuality and work record
• Must demonstrate Osler Values of Respect, Excellence, Service, Compassion, Innovation and Collaboration
• Able to handle physical requirements of the job (ability to lift at least 25-30 pounds)

Hours: Currently Days/Nights,  8 and 12 hour shifts, including weekends and statutory holidays (subject to change in accordance with operational requirements)

SALARY: 

Minimum:  $31.45 per hour

Maximum: $32.09 per hour
