We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Supply Chain Management (SCM) professional to lead and optimize end-to-end supply chain operations. The role requires deep expertise in SCM processes, PPIC (Production Planning, Inventory & Control), and API (Active Pharmaceutical Ingredient) supply chains. The ideal candidate will drive operational excellence, ensure supply continuity, improve cost efficiency, and align supply chain strategy with business growth objectives.
Requirements:
Key Responsibilities
• Lead and manage the end-to-end supply chain, including procurement, production planning, inventory management, logistics, and distribution.
• Oversee PPIC functions, ensuring accurate demand forecasting, capacity planning, production scheduling, and optimal inventory levels.
• Manage and strengthen the API supply chain, including sourcing strategies, supplier qualification, vendor development, and risk mitigation.
• Develop and implement robust SCM strategies to ensure uninterrupted supply of raw materials, intermediates, and finished goods.
• Collaborate closely with manufacturing, quality, R&D, regulatory, sales, and finance teams to ensure seamless planning and execution.
• Monitor and improve key supply chain KPIs such as OTIF, inventory turns, service levels, cost optimization, and working capital efficiency.
• Lead supplier negotiations, long-term contracts, and performance reviews to ensure quality, cost competitiveness, and compliance.
• Drive continuous improvement initiatives across supply chain processes, leveraging lean principles, process automation, and best practices.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory, quality, and safety standards relevant to API manufacturing and supply operations.
• Manage crisis situations such as supply disruptions, capacity constraints, or demand volatility with proactive planning and execution.
• Mentor and develop high-performing SCM and PPIC teams, fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and operational excellence.
Key Skills & Competencies
• Strong expertise in Supply Chain Management (SCM) with hands-on leadership experience.
• In-depth knowledge of PPIC including demand planning, MRP, capacity planning, and inventory control.
• Proven experience handling API supply chains, vendor management, and sourcing strategies.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to make data-driven decisions.
• Excellent stakeholder management and cross-functional coordination skills.
• Sound understanding of ERP/MRP systems and supply chain planning tools.
• Strategic mindset with the ability to balance long-term planning and day-to-day execution.
• Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation capabilities.
Qualifications & Experience
• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Pharmacy, Supply Chain, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
• 10–25 years of progressive experience in SCM, PPIC, and API-focused supply chain operations.
• Prior experience in pharmaceuticals, chemicals, or regulated manufacturing environments is highly desirable.
