Help create an amazing learning environment for young children!
As a Head Start Substitute Staff, you’ll work side by side with our Head Start staff to spark curiosity, build independence, and inspire little learners—all while supporting parents to become their child’s greatest advocate.
WHAT YOU'LL DO:
• Team Up in the Kitchen: Help with food prep and cleanup - keeping things organized and tidy.
• Stay Organized: Keep everything running smoothly with accurate and up-to-date recordkeeping.
• Add a Healthy Twist: Bring energy and creativity to health and nutrition activities that inspire kids to make healthier choices.
• Pitch In: Help out with light janitorial duties when necessary - teamwork makes the dream work.
• Promote the Program: Assist with implementing the learning experiences and support recruitment/enrollment efforts to spread the word about Head Start.
• Prioritize Safety: Ensure a safe environment for everyone, every step of the way.
SKILLS TO WOW US:
• You know your way around a computer.
• You’re a team player and can handle tasks on your own like a pro.
• Reliable? That’s your middle name!
• You’re up to speed on child development - or eager to learn.
• Problem-solving and keeping the peace? Piece of cake!
EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
• Must be 18 years or older.
• High school diploma/GED and/or relevant experience.
• CPR and First Aid Certified - or ready to get certified.
