Job Description

• The development agenda of western Nigerian (DAWN) commission is a development coordination and management institution, set up as a strategic and action-oriented response to the desire and determination of the south western states of Nigeria to create regional competitive advantage. The DAWN commission is focused on fostering inclusive and aggressive economic growth that leverages the socio-economic potential of the southwest region comprising Lagos, Oyo, Ogun, Osun Ekiti and Ondo.
• The DAWN commission is the strategic driver that has been set up to orchestrate and foster regional cooperation and integrity as a catalyst for achieving sustainable and accelerated development of Western Nigeria.
• In order to successfully design, develop, deploy and execute the Development Agenda for western Nigeria, the commission is seeking to hire world class talent and professionals with the competence and capacity to make the goals and strategic objectives of the DAWN to become a reality through the following vacant roles: Qualified and interested applicants should login to http://jobs.wfmcenter.com/dawn

• Manage all events, conferences and projects activity to ensure effectiveness, adherence to objectives and budgets.
• Coordinate and prioritize the commission’s needs.
• Effectively work project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project and activities in line with the commission’s needs.
• Effectively work with project sponsor and stakeholders to complete project charter outlining scope, goals, deliverables, required resources, budgets and timing.

• Minimum of first degree: PMI certification is essential.
• 5 years practical experience is project and event management preferably for a developmental organization involved in multi million naira projects.
• Practical experience in the use of project management tools and or software packages.
• Excellent leadership, problem solving and analytical skills .
• Ability to elicit cooperation from stakeholders and other departments.
• Ability to multitask and meet deadlines.
