Head, Operations - Q-Commerce

As the Head of Quick Commerce Operations for Bangladesh, you will be responsible for leading day-to-day fulfillment operations, ensuring a seamless customer experience, and driving efficiency and growth through strategic planning and execution across the Q-Commerce business.

You will be part of the Q-Commerce leadership team, leading and optimizing the end-to-end operations of both pandamart (dark stores) and Shops (marketplace grocery and retail partners) across Bangladesh. Your focus will be on operational excellence, scalability, and efficiency to deliver exceptional customer experiences while aligning with Foodpanda’s strategic objectives.

This role is ideal for an experienced operator with a strong track record in e-commerce or retail operations, who thrives in fast-paced, data-driven environments and can manage large cross-functional teams while executing strategic initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Define and execute the integrated operations strategy for pandamart and Shops, driving scalability, efficiency, and alignment with regional and global goals
• Oversee dark store, marketplace operations & Distribution centre operations, ensuring high performance in picking, fulfillment, inventory management, and cost control through standardized processes and automation
• Ensure reliable, accurate, and timely service across all channels; lead initiatives to enhance customer satisfaction and reduce operational incidents
• Monitor OKRs and KPIs to measure performance, identify bottlenecks, and drive data-informed continuous improvement
• Lead store network planning and expansion, including location scouting, layout design, and cost-efficient real estate management
• Ensure full compliance with SOPs, health and safety standards, and local regulations; proactively identify risks and maintain contingency plans for business continuity
• Collaborate with Supply Chain, Logistics, Tech, and Commercial teams to align operations, enable new launches, and optimize fulfillment performance
• Drive process improvements and automation to enhance speed, efficiency, and scalability across both pandamart and Shops
• Build and lead high-performing teams that demonstrate ownership, collaboration, and accountability; foster a culture of continuous learning and operational excellence
• Manage budgets, P&L levers, and cost efficiency to ensure sustainable growth and profitability

• 8–12 years of experience in operations management, preferably within groceries, retail, or e-commerce, with a proven record of scaling operations in Bangladesh
• Demonstrated ability to manage end-to-end fulfillment operations, including in-house stores, distribution centre and third-party partners
• Strong people leadership skills, capable of managing team leads, warehouse managers, and frontline teams
• Proficient with inventory systems, ERP/POS platforms, and data analytics tools used in Q-commerce and retail operations
• Highly analytical, with hands-on experience in KPI tracking, process optimization, and operational analytics
• Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills, with the ability to influence and align across Supply Chain, Commercial, Tech, and Finance teams
• Strong strategic thinking with the ability to balance short-term execution and long-term scalability
• Solid understanding of P&L management, OKR setting, performance tracking, and strategic project execution
• Deep knowledge of fulfillment metrics and last-mile delivery operations impacting customer experience
