Job Description
Who we are looking for:
We’re hiring a Head of UX to own and elevate the end‑to‑end consumer experience of brite – from the first marketing touchpoint to long‑term engagement and habit‑building inside the product. You will work directly with our CPO, CTO, CEO, and product team to redesign how patients discover, trust, and stick with brite, while building a small but high‑impact UX team and design culture.
As we’re still early-stage, you will temporarily own content design and UX writing across web, app, and lifecycle communication, setting the bar and processes before we hire a dedicated marketing leader.
Your background:
• 10–15 years of experience in product design / UX with a strong focus on consumer apps (e.g., health, wellness, education, productivity from notable companies like Duolingo, Spotify, Hinge, etc.).
• Experience as Head of UX / Head of Design / Lead Product Designer where you have worked operationally as a designer, and led a team of at least 2 other designers and partnered closely with product and engineering leadership.
• A portfolio that shows end‑to‑end consumer journey work: acquisition flows, onboarding, habit‑forming UX, and measurable improvements in engagement/retention.
• Demonstrated ability to build or significantly evolve design systems for web and mobile products.
• Strong UX writing / content design sensibilities; you care about how words, visuals, and interaction design work together to build trust and clarity.
• Comfort working in regulated or complex domains (healthcare, fintech, insurance, etc.) and navigating trade‑offs between user delight, safety, and compliance.
• Proven ability to operate at multiple altitudes: from shaping strategy with the C‑suite to jumping into Figma and operationally delivering assets, and running user tests yourself.
• High proficiency and curiosity with AI tools for design, research, and content; you’re excited to help the team adopt and standardize them.
• Strong communication skills in English; German is a plus but not required.
• Located in or willing to regularly travel to Munich or Berlin; we’re flexible across the EU but believe some in‑person time matters at this stage.
Why us?:
• The chance to build the UX foundation of a product that directly improves how people experience their therapy.
• Direct partnership with the CPO and CEO, with real influence on product strategy and company direction.
• A small, ambitious team with strong backing from respected health and deep‑tech investors.
• Competitive compensation and meaningful options for a role that sits at the heart of our product and brand.
