About the Business Division: 
This role is part of MED PLANET, a Lyon based fieldwork agency and a wholly owned subsidiary of M3 Inc. MED PLANET is a leading provider of data-collection services for the pharmaceutical and healthcare industry. We specialize in conducting both qualitative and quantitative market research in France.  MED PLANET provides high quality translations and transcription for healthcare fieldwork projects for the M3MR group.
As Head of Translations at MED PLANET you will oversee the workflow of our translation services from request to delivery and ensure the highest quality throughout the entire service chain. You will track revenue and profit in addition to team productivity, with responsibility for recruitment of new team members according to the needs of the business.
Your specific duties will include the following:
• Strategy & Planning: Develop long-term plans, manage budgets, and set priorities for translation services. This includes expansion and offering additional services and languages
• Team Leadership: Recruit, manage, mentor, and build capacity of project managers, in-house linguists and external vendors.
• Workflow Management: Oversee daily operations, allocate resources, prioritise requests, and ensure timely delivery.
• Quality Assurance: Establish and enforce quality standards, review complex texts, and maintain consistency in conjunction with the Quality lead.
• Technology & Tools: Implement, evaluate and and manage translation management systems, CAT tools, and machine translation.
• Resource Management: Develop and maintain term bases, translation memories, and other linguistic assets.
• Stakeholder Liaison: Collaborate within the group to ensure that there is a strong relationship with all businesses within the M3MR group and the translations team to drive revenue and reduce outsource.
• Revenue opportunities: Identify revenue opportunities within the wider M3 group and external clients. 
• Leadership and team management.
• Deep understanding of linguistics and translation quality.
• Proficiency with CAT tools and localization technology.
• Project management and problem-solving.
• Strong communication and stakeholder management.
