Vestiaire Collective is looking for a Tax Manager/Head of Tax in our Paris office.

The role
As our Tax Manager / Head of Tax, you will:

Lead VAT Compliance & Strategy: Oversee VAT compliance across multiple jurisdictions, ensuring accurate reporting, filings, and payments. Develop and implement VAT strategies that align with our marketplace business model and international expansion. Represent the company in case of tax audits.

Navigate International Taxation: Manage cross-border tax issues, including transfer pricing, permanent establishment risks, and double taxation treaties. Work closely with local advisors and internal teams to ensure compliance and optimize tax positions.

Drive Process Innovation: Improve, design and implement scalable tax processes and systems, leveraging technology to automate and streamline workflows. Be a problem-solver, finding creative solutions to complex tax challenges.

Collaborate & Advise: Partner with finance, legal, and operations teams to provide tax guidance on business decisions, new market entries, and product launches. Act as the go-to expert for all tax-related matters.

Stay Ahead of the Curve: Monitor and interpret evolving tax regulations, proactively identifying risks and opportunities. Represent the company in discussions with tax authorities and external advisors.
About You
•
Experience: 5–8 years in tax, with a focus on VAT and international taxation, preferably in a fast-paced, digital, or marketplace environment. An experience in a tax law firm would be a plus.

Technical Skills: Strong knowledge of VAT rules, international tax principles, and experience with tax reporting systems. Familiarity with e-commerce or platform business models is a plus.

Mindset: Resourceful, inventive, and hands-on. You thrive in dynamic environments, enjoy solving complex problems, and are not afraid to roll up your sleeves.

Communication: Excellent English skills; ability to explain complex tax concepts in simple terms to non-experts.

Attitude: Proactive, collaborative, and passionate about sustainability and the circular economy.
