Head of Systems Engineering (m/f/d)

Your mission:
• Build, lead, and grow the Systems Engineering team, ensuring strong performance and delivery of key product milestones
• Define and drive the systems engineering strategy, aligned with overall product and company goals
• Own the overall system design of our UAV platform, ensuring it is robust, scalable, and ready for certification
• Make and guide key system design decisions across software, hardware, and mechanics
• Drive the development of the system architecture, ensuring all parts work together seamlessly
• Ensure clear and structured requirements, with full traceability from stakeholder needs to implementation
• Lead system-level testing and validation, ensuring the product meets certification requirements
• Work closely with cross-functional teams and coach, mentor, and grow a high-performing team

Your profile:
• Degree in Aerospace Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, Systems Engineering, or a comparable field
• 10+ years of experience in systems engineering, including leadership in complex, safety-critical environments
• Experience as a Systems Lead, Chief Engineer, or similar role with end-to-end system responsibility
• Strong knowledge of systems engineering processes (e.g., INCOSE, ISO 15288)
• Experience with aviation certification standards (e.g., ARP4754A) and safety methods (e.g., FHA, DFMEA)
• Proven expertise in System architecture and design, Requirements engineering and traceability and System-level validation and verification
• Experience with MBSE tools and modern systems engineering methods
• Strong ability to make system-level decisions and technical trade-offs
• Strategic mindset with a hands-on approach
• Strong leadership and team development skills
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities
• High level of ownership, quality focus, and structured working style
