Overview of Role
We are seeking a highly experienced and commercially driven Head of Revenue Operations & Inside Sales to lead and scale our revenue operations and inside sales functions. This senior leadership role has full accountability for sales operational excellence, forecasting, pipeline governance, performance analytics, and the effectiveness of the inside sales organisation.
The role is central to enabling predictable, scalable revenue growth by ensuring the sales organisation is supported by robust processes, accurate insights, disciplined execution, and high-performing inside sales capability. The Head of Revenue Operations & Inside Sales will partner closely with Sales leadership, Finance, Marketing, Sales Enablement, and Delivery teams to drive consistency, productivity, and transparency across the revenue lifecycle.
Success in this role requires strong commercial judgement, deep sales operations expertise, and a proven ability to lead teams, influence senior stakeholders, and translate data into action.
Key Role Responsibilities
Revenue Operations Strategy & Leadership
Define and own the overall revenue operations and inside sales strategy, aligned to organisational growth and sales objectives.
Lead, mentor, and develop high‑performing Revenue Operations and Inside Sales teams.
Establish clear operating models, roles, responsibilities, and performance expectations across functions.
Build a disciplined, data‑driven culture focused on accountability, execution excellence, and continuous improvement.
Revenue Performance, Forecasting & Governance
Hold accountability for forecast accuracy, pipeline integrity, reporting quality, and sales performance visibility.
Lead core revenue operations functions; forecasting, pipeline analytics, QBR preparation, Sales Performance tracking and planning processes. Provide content and supporting materials for executive reporting and investor presentations.
Ensure consistent sales governance through CRM adoption, opportunity management standards, and commercial review processes.
Provide executive oversight of pipeline health, deal progression, and gap‑to‑target risks.
Inside Sales Leadership & Effectiveness
Lead and scale the Inside Sales function, ensuring clear alignment to field sales, marketing, and customer segments.
Drive inside sales productivity through clear targets, enablement, performance management, and coaching.
Define and optimise inside sales engagement models for lead qualification, opportunity progression, renewals, and customer expansion.
Ensure seamless collaboration between inside sales and account‑led sales teams.
Sales Enablement, Analytics & Insight
Deliver clear, actionable insights on sales performance, conversion, velocity, and customer trends.
Lead the development of advanced analytics, dashboards, and reporting to support decision‑making.
Support sales leadership with large deal analysis, win/loss insights, and performance diagnostics.
Provide data‑driven input into sales capacity planning and productivity initiatives.
Process Optimisation & Cross‑Functional Collaboration
Partner with Finance, Marketing, Sales, and Delivery teams to streamline end‑to‑end sales processes.
Identify and address inefficiencies in tools, workflows, and data integrity.
Lead sales operations projects that simplify processes, improve scalability, and enhance seller effectiveness.
Ensure alignment between commercial commitments, operational capability, and customer delivery outcomes.
Education, Qualifications and Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Sales, Analytics, or a related discipline.
Minimum 8–10+ years’ experience across sales operations, revenue management, inside sales leadership, or commercial analytics.
Proven experience leading and managing sales operations and/or inside sales teams in a complex, growing organisation.
Strong commercial acumen with demonstrated success improving sales performance and predictability.
Advanced capability in sales analytics, forecasting, CRM, automation, and performance reporting.
Ability to identify and lead advanced analytics capabilities and identify and lead data visualisation and automation
Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at senior leadership level.
