Head of Public Sector
Salary: up to £60,000 + OTE
Location: Stockwell, Central London - Hybrid (London office 1 day per month)
Purpose of Role:
We have a fantastic opportunity for a Head of Public Sector to lead our public sector commercial team. In this role you will be responsible for accelerating LDN’s growth across the NHS and Local Government, while shaping and executing a scalable go-to-market strategy for the wider public sector.
You will provide strategic direction, momentum and ownership for LDN’s public sector ambition—focusing on rapid customer acquisition, increased customer penetration and long-term value creation across a large, complex and under-served market. The role prioritises commercial pace, clarity and scale, leveraging LDN’s quality, agility and high-demand programmes to secure as many NHS Trusts and Local Authorities as possible, as quickly as possible and then to maximise their potential.
Key Responsibilities:
Public Sector growth strategy
Define and own LDN’s Public Sector go-to-market strategy, with explicit focus on NHS and Local Government.
Translate the scale of the opportunity into a clear, executable growth plan.
Identify priority targets, buying routes and customer types to accelerate acquisition and expansion.
Explore and evaluate future public sector markets beyond NHS and Local Government.
Revenue leadership & commercial delivery
Deliver a blended individual contribution of c. £700k in Year 1
Support the public sector team to deliver its target of c. £3.75m
Lead from the front in selected strategic deals
Transition to a team-only target model by Year 2
Drive growth in both customer numbers and average customer value
Leadership & team enablement
Lead, coach and empower NHS and Local Government Partnerships Managers
Enable scalable strategies, engagement models and team growth
Remove blockers and accelerate customer decision-making
Build a culture of pace, accountability and ambition
Customer expansion & value maximisation
Ensure systematic evaluation of expansion opportunity within existing customers
Drive multi-product adoption and deeper Enterprise-scale partnerships
Support differentiated engagement models by customer size and complexity
Procurement & buying routes
Maintain a working understanding of public sector procurement environments
Shape customer behaviour toward direct award and simplified buying routes
Ensure LDN leads buying strategy rather than being constrained by it
Cross-functional leadership
Act as senior commercial voice for Public Sector across LDN
Work closely with Marketing, Product and Delivery teams
Represent Public Sector insight and performance in leadership forums
Indicative KPIs:
Number of NHS Trusts and Local Authorities secured
Average customer spend and expansion revenue
Public sector team performance vs targets
Speed and consistency of customer acquisition
Maturity of public sector leadership capability
Skills & Experience:
- Experience in apprenticeship sales or B2B sales
- Experience of managing people, with strong relationship and communication skills
- Strategically minded and action-oriented
- Confident senior leader and influencer
- Empowering and trust-based leadership style
- Commercially driven, not process-led
- High levels of organisation and attention to detail
- Customer-centric with strong commercial judgement
- Collaborative and development-minded

Progression Opportunities:
This role represents a senior leadership position within LDN’s commercial organisation, with scope to grow as the public sector function scales.
