At the core of our work, we deliver insights to our clients through projects in Land and Marine. We are seeking a Head of Project Excellence who can deploy the Fugro project way of working, manage our regional portfolio and connect to all enabling functions and business lines to ensure delivery excellence.

As the Head of Project Excellence for the Middle-East and India region, you are responsible for orchestrating, assessing and deploying project management processes, providing project management leadership aimed at both professionalising the project management profession and significant improvement of project management competency in the region, as well as Delivery Excellence - the planning and execution of high contract value complex multi-disciplinary projects. You will also provide oversight and functional management of key regional internal projects that will advance regional objectives. The position is considered as a true business partner which provides value cross-functionally and across Business and Service Lines across the region.

Key Responsibilities:

• Provide the vision and leadership to elevate project management as a core professional competency across all Business Lines in the MEI region.
• Build, mentor, and deploy a high-performing regional pool of project management talent. Lead the regional project management community through communication, events, mentoring, and capability‑building.
• Translate global project management strategy & processes into a regional roadmap and drive its successful rollout.
• Develop and implement best‑practice project management processes, systems, and governance frameworks.
• Oversee performance of large, complex projects and drive the portfolio across the region.
• Partner with Commercial Excellence, Procurement, Supply Chain, Legal, Finance, and BL leadership to drive improvements across the full project lifecycle.
• Identify and manage key risks and opportunities, strengthening project controls and reducing regional exposure.
• Drive service quality, ensuring projects meet commitments on safety, budget, schedule, and technical accuracy.
• Champion QHSSE, continuous improvement, lessons learned, and project management audit follow-up.

What Skills & Experience Will You Have?

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Business, or related field; master’s preferred.
• Demonstrated proficiency in stakeholder management, risk assessment, integrated change control, effective communication, and cross-functional collaboration.
• Proven extensive experience managing large, complex engineering or technical projects.
• Demonstrated proven leadership of multi‑disciplinary teams across diverse locations.
• PMP (or IPMA equivalent) and ideally advanced certifications such as PgMP, PfMP, PMI‑PMOCP, or Change Management.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making capabilities.
• High proficiency in project management tools, MS Office, and modern digital workflows.

• Thorough understanding of engineering documentation, contractual frameworks, cash management and project-related legal terminology.
• Discipline in planning, prioritisation, and execution under pressure and changing conditions.
