About the role
The Head of Product Management leads the product vision, strategy, and execution across a portfolio of digital products and live event experiences within the Sigma Group of companies ecosystem. This role shapes how attendees, affiliates, media partners, exhibitors, and speakers engage with events, content, and gaming experiences, ensuring the company remains competitive, compliant, and innovative in a rapidly evolving market.
Reporting Directly to the CEO, the Head of Product Management partners closely with executives, commercial teams, compliance, engineering, and data science to deliver products that drive engagement, revenue, and long‑term customer loyalty.
Key Responsibilities
Product Strategy & Vision
Define a multi‑year product strategy that integrates digital gaming, live events, medtech, emerging technologies and academy.
Identify opportunities to differentiate the company’s event‑driven offerings through innovative features, immersive experiences, and new product lines.
Build a cohesive product portfolio roadmap that balances short‑term commercial goals with long‑term strategic investments.
iGaming & Events Industry Leadership
Develop a deep understanding of afflatate behaviour, event cycles, betting patterns, and regulatory constraints across multiple jurisdictions.
Partner with event operations teams to design products that enhance live tournaments, competitions, and hybrid digital‑physical experiences.
Ensure product decisions reflect responsible gaming principles and meet all compliance requirements.
Monitor industry trends, competitor offerings, and emerging formats (e.g., live streaming, social gaming, micro‑events).
Cross‑Functional Leadership & Organisational Influence
Build and lead a high‑performing product organisation, including product managers, product owners, UX, and data‑driven roles.
Establish product culture, rituals, and standards across discovery, delivery, and measurement.
Influence executive‑level decisions and represent the product function in strategic planning, investment discussions, and board‑level conversations.
Foster strong collaboration with engineering, design, marketing, compliance, and commercial teams.
Product Discovery & Delivery Excellence
Oversee the full product lifecycle across multiple Simge product lines, ensuring consistent discovery practices and evidence‑based decision‑making.
Ensure product teams validate problems, test solutions, and measure outcomes before scaling.
Champion experimentation frameworks, A/B testing, and rapid iteration to optimise player engagement and event performance.
Drive operational readiness for major event launches, including cross‑team coordination and risk mitigation.
Data, Analytics & Market Insight
Working with the Technology Team, build a data‑driven product culture that uses behavioural analytics, segmentation, and predictive modelling to inform decisions.
Partner with data science to develop insights into player lifetime value, churn risk, event performance, and betting behaviour.
Ensure product KPIs align with commercial goals, including acquisition, retention, engagement, and revenue.
AI‑Driven Product Innovation
Working with the CTO, define the company’s AI product strategy, identifying opportunities to enhance player experience, operational efficiency, and event performance.
Lead the development of AI‑powered features such as:
personalised event recommendations
dynamic odds or content personalisation
automated customer support and player assistance
predictive analytics for event planning and player behaviour
AI‑enhanced fraud detection and responsible gaming monitoring
Partner with Technology engineering and data science teams to ensure ethical, transparent, and compliant use of AI technologies.
Working with Technology, evaluate emerging AI tools, platforms, and partnerships to maintain competitive advantage.
Governance, Compliance & Risk Management
As appropriate work with Legal and Technology to ensure all products meet regulatory requirements across multiple jurisdictions.
Work with compliance teams to embed responsible gaming features and monitoring tools.
Establish governance frameworks for AI usage, data privacy, and algorithmic transparency.
Manage product‑related risks, including operational, technical, and reputational risks.
Business Impact & Commercial Ownership
Own product‑related KPIs, including event performance, player engagement, revenue, and retention.
Partner with Finance on forecasting, budgeting, and investment planning.
Identify new revenue opportunities through product innovation, partnerships, and market expansion.
Additional Responsibilities Specific to iGaming Events
Oversee the integration of live event data into digital products.
Ensure seamless user experiences across mobile, web, and on‑site event platforms.
Collaborate with marketing to design event‑driven engagement campaigns and loyalty mechanics.
Lead post‑event analysis to identify product improvements and commercial opportunities.
Qualifications
Key Skills & Competencies
Deep understanding of iGaming, events, and digital entertainment ecosystems
Strong strategic thinking and long‑term planning capability
Executive‑level communication and influence
Experience leading multi‑disciplinary product teams
Expertise in data‑driven decision‑making and experimentation
Familiarity with AI technologies, machine learning concepts, and data governance
High emotional intelligence and stakeholder management
Strong understanding of regulatory and compliance frameworks in gaming
Preferred Experience
Educated to degree level in a numerate or technical discipline, Masters preferred.
10+ years of technical experience in product management, software development, UX, data, or related fields
5+ years of management or leadership experience, such as leading product teams or cross‑functional initiatives
Proven track record of delivering digital products from concept to launch
Experience introducing AI tooling or delivering AI‑enabled product features
Background working with event platforms, mobile apps, or iGaming systems
Experience collaborating with distributed or hybrid teams
