UMO is a stealth-mode FinTech venture aiming to evolve the way people experience money by building a unified, AI-powered, yet deeply human modern money platform across fiat, crypto, and investments - subject to regulatory approvals. The platform is being designed to break down traditional barriers to money across access, assets, and experience, enabling simpler, more adaptive ways for people to interact with financial services.

We are currently developing our MVP and navigating licensing requirements, with a multidisciplinary team of 100+ people representing 20+ nationalities. What You'll Do

As the Head of Product Design at UMO, you are the architect of our digital soul. We don’t just build features; we build a unified, premium identity that spans banking, crypto, and lifestyle.

This is a role for a "Craft-First" leader. You aren't just managing — you are setting the aesthetic bar, evolving our design system into an AI-augmented infrastructure, and translating complex financial friction into "deeply human" interfaces. You’ll lead a team of 4+ designers and partner directly with founders to ensure UMO feels like the future of money.

Key Responsibilities:

1.Product Vision & Execution

End-to-End Ownership: Drive the design vision across Banking, Crypto, Wealth, and Lifestyle. You ensure the journey is unified, premium, and seamless.

Mastering Complexity: Turn high-friction flows (KYC, staking, cross-border transfers) into elegant, intuitive experiences.

Data-Informed Craft: Define and push design KPIs, including usability scores, task completion rates, and NPS.

2.Team Leadership & Design Ops

Mentorship: Lead and scale a high-performance squad of 4+ UX/UI designers.

AI-First Workflow: Pioneer the integration of AI into our design process—from rapid prototyping to eliminating "busywork."

System Evolution: Evolve our design system (tokens, components, patterns) to stay ahead of a rapid product roadmap.

3.Brand & Global Strategy

Brand Guardianship: Shape the UMO identity across every touchpoint—from the mobile app to social campaigns and the corporate site.

Global Nuance: Lead research across Europe and the MEA/GCC regions. You understand that "trust" is designed differently in Dubai than it is in Berlin.

Marketing Synergy: Partner with Marketing to direct high-impact creatives and brand collateral.

Requirements:

Experience: 7+ years in Product/UX Design, with 3+ years leading teams specifically within Fintech, Banking, or Crypto.

Jurisdictional Grit: You’ve shipped regulated financial products across multiple jurisdictions (EU, UAE/GCC, CIS) and lived to tell the tale. You know how to navigate compliance without sacrificing UX

The Portfolio: You have an exceptional body of work that showcases both high-level product thinking and world-class brand/marketing aesthetics. (Note: This is our first filter.)

Stakeholder Fluent: You can walk into a room with founders and engineers, present a bold direction, and move the needle.

Technical Mastery: Expert-level Figma skills and a passion for AI-assisted design tools.

Linguistic Edge: Fluent English is a must. Proficiency in Russian or Ukrainian is a major plus for internal synergy.

Motion & Interaction: Experience with micro-interactions that make a product feel "alive."
