ROLE SUMMARY:
King’s College School La Moraleja is seeking an outstanding and dynamic Head of PE (Whole School) to lead and inspire Physical Education across the school. This is a prominent middle leadership role for an exceptional teacher and leader who is passionate about sport, wellbeing and academic excellence.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Lead and develop the PE department across the whole school
Inspire students and staff through high-quality teaching and leadership
Ensure excellent teaching, learning and curriculum delivery in PE
Support, develop and line manage members of the department
Lead quality assurance, assessment and departmental improvement planning
Promote participation and excellence in sport, including tournaments and extracurricular activities
Manage departmental resources, facilities and budget effectively
THE IDEAL CANDIDATE WILL HAVE:
A Bachelor’s Degree and Qualified Teacher Status
Proven experience teaching within the British curriculum
Evidence of excellent classroom practice and strong academic outcomes
Previous leadership or coordination experience within PE
