What You'll Achieve at SANS
We are seeking a Head of North America Marketing to join our Global Marketing team. This role plays a key part in developing, executing, measuring and communicating strategic marketing plans that drive awareness, demand generation, and revenue growth across the North American region. This leadership role oversees regional marketing initiatives in alignment with global strategies, collaborating cross-functionally with Sales, Product, and Communications teams to ensure consistent messaging and needle-moving market penetration.
As a Head of North America Marketing, you will:
Develop and lead the regional marketing strategy to support business objectives across the U.S. and Canada
Manage and mentor a high-performing team of marketers, ensuring alignment with global priorities and local market needs
Drive demand generation programs including digital marketing, events, ABM, and partner marketing to support sales pipeline growth
Partner closely with Sales and Business Development teams to align marketing activities with revenue goals and customer acquisition strategies
Work with business unit teams to drive consumption of SANS offerings across customer organizations and their employees (students/learners who participate in SANS training and certifications)
Analyze market trends, customer insights, and competitive landscape to inform strategic decisions
Manage regional marketing budget and report on ROI and marketing performance metrics
Partner with Product Marketing to tailor messaging and content to regional buyer personas and market conditions
Ensure brand consistency and alignment across all marketing channels and regional touchpoints
Perform other related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Every SANS employee brings something unique. For this role, we’re looking for candidates with:
Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Business, or a related field (MBA preferred)
10+ years of progressive marketing experience, with at least 3-5 years in a leadership role overseeing regional or national programs
Experience working in a B2B environment, preferably within the cybersecurity, training, learning & development, tech / SaaS, research, or education / ed-tech categories
Proven experience driving measurable demand and growth through integrated marketing programs – especially field marketing – in North America, with demonstrated results across segments including large enterprise, public sector and mid-market / commercial
Strong knowledge of digital marketing, demand generation, and marketing automation platforms (e.g., Salesforce Marketing Cloud, HubSpot, Marketo, etc.)
Excellent leadership, communication, and cross-functional collaboration skills
Ability to orchestrate across and within teams to drive prioritization and execution
Unrestricted authorization to work in the USA; visa sponsorship is not available.
Preferred qualifications include:
Data-driven mindset with the ability to interpret analytics and make strategic decisions
Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment
Spirit of partnership with Sales at the planning, execution and measurement levels
Ability to run joint marketing & sales programs targeting decision-makers at organizations (B2B) as well as experience in targeting individuals (B2C or employee marketing) to communicate value proposition and drive conversions
