The Head of Learning & Development is responsible for designing and executing the organization’s learning strategy to build workforce capability, enhance performance, and support business growth. This role leads all training, leadership development, and talent capability initiatives across the organization.
Key Responsibilities
1. Learning Strategy & Planning
• Develop and implement a company-wide L&D strategy aligned with business goals
• Identify current and future skill gaps across the organization
• Build long-term capability frameworks and learning roadmaps
2. Leadership & Talent Development
• Design leadership development programs for all levels
• Support succession planning and high-potential employee development
• Partner with senior leadership on talent growth initiatives
3. Training & Program Management
• Oversee design and delivery of training programs (technical, soft skills, compliance)
• Ensure effective onboarding and continuous learning programs
• Manage internal and external training vendors
4. Digital Learning & Innovation
• Implement and manage LMS / learning technologies
• Promote e-learning, microlearning, and blended learning solutions
• Drive innovation in learning methods and tools
5. Performance & Impact Measurement
• Define KPIs to measure training effectiveness and ROI
• Analyze learning data and provide insights to leadership
• Continuously improve programs based on feedback and outcomes
6. Stakeholder Management
• Collaborate with business leaders to understand capability needs
• Work closely with HR teams (Talent, Performance, OD)
• Influence leadership to foster a learning culture
7. Team Leadership
• Lead and develop the L&D team
• Manage budgets and resource allocation
• Build a high-performance learning function
Requirements:
Education
• Bachelor’s degree in HR, Business, Psychology, or related field
• Master’s degree or relevant certifications (preferred)
Experience
• 8–15 years of experience in Learning & Development / Talent Development
• Proven experience in leadership roles
• Experience designing large-scale learning programs

• Expertise in instructional design and learning technologies
• Data-driven decision-making
• Excellent communication and influencing skills
