The goal is to build and lead a team of government sales key accounts to help increase revenue. government sales manager must motivate their teams to generate leads, build client relationships, set targets to hit or exceed revenue forecasts, and ultimately meet customer needs.


Requirements:
• Manage a sales force to achieve sales targets with government agencies.
• Design and recommend sales programs while setting short- and long-term sales strategies.
• Evaluate and implement new sales techniques to increase the department's sales volume.
• Recommend product enhancements to improve customer satisfaction and sales potential.
• Ensure projects are completed on time and within budget.
• Act as an advisor to the sales team regarding projects, tasks, and operations.
• Coach, mentor, and provide feedback to team members.
• Develop strong relationships with government agencies to ensure business continuity and growth.
• Monitor and analyze sales data to make data-driven decisions for performance improvement.
• Identify new growth opportunities within the government sector and develop strategies to capitalize on them.
• Oversee the preparation of presentations and government tenders to ensure compliance with requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams such as marketing and product development to deliver comprehensive solutions to clients.
• Stay updated on the latest government policies and trends that may impact sales strategies.
• Represent the company in government meetings and events to strengthen relationships and build partnerships.

Qualifications

- Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, or a related field.

- 5+ years’ experience as a sales manager or government sales manager.

- Excellent leadership skills.

- Experience setting sales goals.

- Excellent active listening, negotiation, and presentation skills.

- Proficiency in Microsoft Office suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, etc.)
