As the Head of Enterprise Architecture, you’ll set the architectural direction that powers AFCA’s technology future. You’ll bring clarity to complexity, shaping enterprise‑wide architecture while staying grounded in delivery. This your chance to ensure every investment is secure, scalable and aligned to what the business needs most.
Reporting directly into the Chief Technology Officer, this is a high‑impact leadership role where decisive architecture, strong governance and smart trade‑offs enable confident, high‑quality delivery. We are seeking a proven senior leader with experience in complex, multi‑platform environments. 
What you'll do: 
• Own AFCA’s enterprise architecture vision, target state and technology roadmap
• Translate business strategy into clear architectural direction across applications, integration, data and security
• Lead and develop the enterprise architecture practice, setting high standards for quality and consistency
• Provide architectural oversight and assurance across major initiatives, platforms and digital products
• Resolve complex, cross‑domain design challenges spanning digital, integration, data and corporate systems
• Own integration architecture strategy, ensuring scalable, interoperable and reusable solutions
• Chair and contribute to architecture governance, balancing strategic alignment, cost, risk and delivery outcomes
• Embed security‑by‑design and compliance into all architectural decisions, working closely with cyber security
• Partner with executives, product and delivery leaders to shape technology strategy and investment decisions
• Clearly communicate architectural intent to both technical and non‑technical stakeholders
What you'll bring:
• Senior experience operating as an Enterprise Architect in complex, multi‑platform environments. 
• Proven leadership of diverse architecture disciplines (solution, integration, data, security). 
• Strong understanding of modern architectures, including cloud, APIs, integration patterns and digital platforms. 
• Ability to balance strategic purity with delivery pragmatism. 
• Strong facilitation, influence and decision‑making skills at executive level. 
• Clear communicator able to explain complex architectural concepts in plain English.
