Position Details :

Role : Head – Engineering & Technology

Location : Thane, Mumbai – Head Office

Reporting into : Tech leadership

Key Responsibilities:

Strategic Leadership & Innovation:

• Develop and execute the company's technical vision and strategy aligned with aggressive growth targets
• Lead digital transformation initiatives and innovation programs
• Design and implement scalable architecture to handle 10x growth in transaction volumes
• Drive customer-centric innovation through data-driven insights and feedback loops
• Oversee IT budgets, resource allocation and technology investments
• Build and mentor high-performing engineering teams

Technical Operations & Scalability:

• Architect highly scalable, microservices-based applications for processing high-volume financial transactions
• Design and implement auto-scaling infrastructure to handle peak loads
• Lead the modernization of legacy systems through careful planning and phased execution
• Implement real-time monitoring and alerting systems for business-critical operations
• Establish distributed caching and database sharding strategies for improved performance
• Develop disaster recovery and business continuity solutions

Platform Modernization:

• Lead the transition from monolithic to microservices architecture
• Implement event-driven architecture for real-time transaction processing
• Design and deploy containerization strategies using Docker and Kubernetes
• Establish CI/CD pipelines for rapid and reliable deployments
• Implement feature flags and A/B testing capabilities for controlled rollouts
• Develop strategies for gradual legacy system deprecation while maintaining business continuity

Customer-Centric Innovation:

• Build advanced analytics capabilities for personalized user experiences
• Implement machine learning models for risk assessment and fraud detection
• Develop real-time dashboard and reporting systems for stakeholders
• Create API-first architecture for seamless partner integrations

Required Qualifications & Skills:

Education & Experience:

• Bachelor’s degree in Information technology, Computer Science, or related field
• 15+ years of technology experience with at least 5 years in senior leadership roles
• Proven experience in fintech, banking, or financial services sector
• Track record of successfully scaling high-transaction systems

• Distributed systems architecture
• Microservices and event-driven architectures
• Full-stack development (Java, .NET, JavaScript)
• React.js and modern frontend frameworks
