Requirements:
What You Will Own

• Lead the entire engineering organization, making key architecture decisions, shaping the engineering culture, and ensuring successful delivery.
• Develop and deploy the core platform components, including data ingestion, evaluation pipelines, real-time observability, and the developer-facing API layer.
• Be actively involved in hands-on engineering—this role is not limited to meetings; you will write code, review pull requests, and maintain close interaction with the system.
• Take complete ownership of the engineering architecture, data pipelines, APIs, infrastructure, and the evaluation engine central to the product.
• Collaborate closely with the founders and the engineering team to convert product vision into concrete engineering plans and decisions.
• Deliver robust, scalable systems that our customers rely on in production environments.

What We Are Looking For

Technical Background

• 4 to 6 years of software engineering experience, with significant exposure to early-stage startup environments.
• Proven experience working with LLM pipelines, prompt engineering, and AI evaluation or observability tools.
• Knowledge of voice agent infrastructure is highly advantageous, including STT/TTS, telephony integrations (such as Twilio, Vonage, Plivo, Telnyx), real-time audio processing, or conversational AI platforms.
• Strong fundamentals in backend and systems engineering: you have managed deployment, debugging, and infrastructure independently, without relying on a dedicated platform team.
• Expertise in AWS infrastructure components such as EventBridge, ECS, EKS, RDS, Lambda, and others.
• Proficiency in Python frameworks like FastAPI or Flask, and/or TypeScript/Node.js.
• Comfortable working with cloud infrastructure, including AWS or GCP, and CI/CD pipelines.

Product Thinking

• You participate in product decisions from the outset, providing clear perspectives rather than merely executing tasks.
• You have experience pushing back on scope or approaches when engineering realities demand it, with a track record that gives you confidence in such judgment.
• You focus on the end-user experience, not just the technical system diagrams.

Startup Orientation

• You have built and shipped products under real-world constraints, including limited resources, changing requirements, and without the support of specialized teams.
• Exhibit high agency and ownership: you are the person who figures things out in uncharted situations and take responsibility for your deliverables.

• Prior experience in B2B SaaS, preferably selling into enterprise or mid-market segments.

• Previous experience as a founding engineer or an early engineering hire.
