Head of Education Policy, Government & Global Impact - India and South Asia

Based in India, the Head of Education Policy, Government and Global Impact will focus on the India and South Asia region and will become a key member of a global public policy team. In this role, you will help demonstrate Roblox’s educational and economic impact value to policymakers, thought-leaders, NGOs, and other key stakeholders.

You will integrate Roblox into formal and informal learning environments by demonstrating its value for primary and secondary as well as tertiary education, ensuring the platform is recognized as an effective learning and creation tool within the regional policy landscape.

Working with Public Policy and country leadership in India and relevant markets, you will coordinate and build partnerships and policy programs that highlight Roblox’s platform to core policy audiences and collaborate directly with growing in-region teams on shared goals. Your programs will address some of the most complex and emerging global education tech policy issues, from social to economic. This includes programs across a range of educational issue areas that include STEM skill building, privacy, safety, digital civility, AI and innovation, the developer economy, job creation, and more.

You are also someone who will represent Roblox externally, with government officials and members of the community, with intelligence, humility, and grace. You Will:

• Advance Roblox public policy priorities globally with key audiences including policymakers, non-profits, and others

• Implement the overarching education policy strategy developed by the leadership team within India and South Asia as directed.

• Build and maintain relationships with local and regional partners, educational institutions, edtech companies, local government agencies, and non-profits to advocate for Roblox's inclusion in curricula.

• Work with partners to identify and support local developers to catalyze the creation of educational experiences on Roblox. Help these developers find sustainable promotional and monetization opportunities for their educational content.

• Collaborate with internal teams to ensure that educational content and programs align with regional and national education standards, as well as the latest technology advances in Roblox tooling and AI. Creators should leverage the generative AI tools offered by Roblox in their creations.

• Represent Roblox at regional conferences, workshops, and policy discussions to advocate for digital learning innovation.

• Partner with the team and communications partners to develop narratives around Roblox’s economic and social impact

• Help set up and prepare executives for programs as necessary, including with briefing docs

• Collaborate excellently with internal and external partners, from Public Policy to Comms, Legal, Marketing, Product, and more

• Work with the broader Government and Global Impact team on education and non-educational policy programs and other engagements

• Travel with regularity, inside and outside India and South Asia

You Have:

• A Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience, focuses in Public Policy, Law, Political Science, Marketing, ideal

• 10 plus years proven experience in education policy, marketing, or the political space

• Knowledge of the global education technology policy landscape, familiarly with the gaming market, AI, the creator economy, gaming-based learning, and safety policy

• A strong understanding of how to run economic and social impact research studies

• Experience with key policy issues such as STEM skill building, online safety, or experience working with think tanks, academics, policy advocates/activists, trade associations, and other NGOs

• A client mentality, no matter how important they appear to be, and take a collaborative, team-centered, solutions-oriented approach to working (read: no drama!)

• Willingness to perform any small or large tasks in connection with setting up events and activations

• Excellent project management, writing, and communication skills

• Multiple language skills a plus

Roles that are based in an office are onsite Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with optional presence on Monday and Friday (unless otherwise noted).
