Job Description
At Smeetz, we help visitor attractions like theme parks, museums, and theaters grow their sales and revenue. Our AI-powered SaaS platform gives them the tools to manage, market, and price their products more effectively.
We are looking for a business-first data leader to define and execute our company-wide data strategy. This is a high-impact, cross-functional role at the intersection of Product, Sales, Account Management, and Leadership.
You will transform data into a commercial advantage — driving revenue growth, customer value, product innovation, and strategic decision-making. This is not a pure engineering role; it is a strategic, revenue-focused leadership position.
Requirements:
Professional requirements:
• 5 to 8 years of experience in data, analytics, or business intelligence roles.
• Strong track record of using data to drive business outcomes (revenue growth, operational efficiency, client value) — not just technical delivery
• Deep understanding of SaaS metrics, cohort analysis, customer lifetime value, churn prediction, and revenue analytics
• Strong understanding of e-commerce and funnel analytics: conversion rate and step drop-off analysis across booking flows, average order value (AOV) / average basket, revenue per visitor, attribution basics, and experimentation (A/B tests); comfortable using tools like Google Analytics (GA4) and/or Mixpanel to turn acquisition + on-site behaviour into product and revenue insights
• Experience building and managing dashboards and reporting tools (e.g., Looker, Tableau, Power BI, Metabase, or similar)
• Solid grasp of SQL and data modelling; comfortable working with data warehouses and ETL pipelines — but this is a business-first role, not a pure engineering one
• Experience working cross-functionally with Sales, Product, Marketing, and Finance teams
• Familiarity with AI/ML concepts — enough to collaborate effectively with data scientists and guide the application of predictive models to real business problems
• Fluency in English (mandatory); French is a strong asset
Personal attributes:
• A business-first data leader who thinks in terms of revenue, customer value, and competitive advantage — not just queries and models
• A storyteller who can translate complex data into clear narratives for executives, clients, and non-technical teams
• A strategic thinker who can zoom out to define a vision and zoom in to solve specific problems hands-on
• Comfortable with ambiguity and the pace of a fast-growing startup — able to prioritise ruthlessly and deliver value incrementally
• A collaborator and relationship-builder who earns trust across departments and levels
• A finisher with high attention to detail, ensuring analyses and deliverables are accurate, actionable, and on time
• A temperament to transform start-up chaos into scale-up maturity
Key responsibilities:
• Define and execute the company-wide data strategy, aligning it with business goals, product roadmap, and commercial objectives
• Own the analytics and reporting function: build dashboards, KPIs, and insights that empower Sales, Account Management, Product, and Leadership to make data-driven decisions
• Lead the development of client-facing data products — including ROI dashboards, performance benchmarks, and actionable analytics that demonstrate tangible value to operators
• Partner with the Product team to shape the AI and analytics roadmap, translating business needs into data requirements for dynamic pricing, marketing intelligence, and predictive models
• Collaborate with Sales and Account Management to use data as a commercial lever — supporting upselling, retention strategies, and client success storytelling
• Establish data governance, quality standards, and definitions across the organisation to ensure consistency and trust in data
• Act as the internal champion for data literacy — enabling non-technical stakeholders to self-serve insights and make confident, data-informed decisions
• Drive the creation of data-driven content for investor relations, board reporting, and strategic planning
Benefits:
• Recognition of your successes through career growth, ownership opportunities, and an equity option package
• A supportive team environment that values collaboration, continuous improvement, and mutual respect
• A performance-driven culture that celebrates outcomes and innovation
• The chance to lead high-impact projects in a fast-scaling company
• A vibrant, inclusive workplace where your voice matters
• Remote work options
