At Intelligen, we’re scaling fast, and intentionally. Over the past few years, we’ve built a strong reputation delivering complex data, AI and governance transformations for enterprise and mid-market organisations across Australia.

Now we’re entering our next phase of growth and we’re looking for a senior commercial leader to help drive it.

The Opportunity

This role is about new logos, revenue growth, and market presence. You’ll be the front door to Intelligen for new clients; opening doors, shaping conversations, and converting complex data and AI challenges into long-term partnerships.

We’re looking for a leader to own new business acquisition across Melbourne and Sydney. Your sole commercial focus in year one will be delivering high revenue targets, primarily through new client logos.

You won’t be inheriting a large sales team or existing pipeline, this is a hands-on, front-line role suited to someone who enjoys building momentum from the ground up.

While you won’t be formally managing a team initially, you’ll play a mentorship role for other team members; helping lift capability, shape behaviours, and set the standard for how we engage the market.

This role will naturally evolve into a broader leadership position as the business scales.

• Own and deliver high revenue targets in your first year, with a strong focus on new client acquisition.
• Build and execute a targeted go-to-market strategy across priority industries and accounts.
• Open doors with senior executives (C-suite, CIO, CDO, Heads of Data, Analytics & AI).
• Lead complex, consultative sales cycles, from first conversation through to close.
• Shape compelling value propositions across data platforms, AI, analytics, and data governance.
• Partner closely with delivery leaders and consultants to design high-quality, winnable solutions.
• Contribute to pricing, commercial structures, and deal strategy.
• Mentor junior team members, lifting overall sales maturity.
• Help define and evolve Intelligen’s sales motion, messaging, and engagement model as we scale


Requirements:
• Proven experience in consulting-led sales, ideally within data, analytics, AI, technology, or professional services.
• A strong hunter mentality, comfortable creating pipeline, opening new relationships, and driving deals end-to-end.
• Demonstrated success selling complex, high-value consulting engagements.
• Confidence operating at executive level, with the ability to translate technical capability into business outcomes.
• Strong commercial acumen; understands margin, deal structuring, and long-term account value.
• Comfortable working autonomously, with high accountability and ownership.
• Based in Melbourne or Sydney, with flexibility to travel as needed.
