Team Mission

The mission of our FP&A team is to drive sustainable growth by leveraging strategic financial planning and robust data-driven insights.

As the Head of Business Performance, you will evolve how we measure and drive success across GetYourGuide - from understanding the customer journey to growing markets efficiently - and connecting them to company strategy. Your insights will empower teams to make smarter, faster decisions that accelerate us on our path to becoming the undisputed global leader in travel experiences.

Based in our Berlin headquarters and reporting to the Head of Marketing FP&A, you will be a key driver of business performance excellence at GetYourGuide. Your role will be crucial in transforming data into strategic insights, enabling informed decision-making, and ensuring our rapidly growing marketplace achieves its ambitious goals.

You will:

• Performance Excellence: Drive strategic decision-making through robust business performance analysis, ensuring GetYourGuide's market leadership through data-driven reporting and insights.

• Customer Value Understanding: Spearhead the development of strategic KPIs that measure and enhance our understanding of customer performance metrics and their impact on business outcomes, crucial for maintaining GetYourGuide's competitive edge.

• Metrics and Reporting Champion: Design and implement best-in-class reporting systems that democratise data across the org and provide clear visibility into business performance, enabling rapid, informed decisions in our fast-paced environment.

• Business Narrative Leadership: Transform complex data into compelling stories that deepen our business understanding and unlock growth opportunities across our marketplace.

• Strategic Leadership: Demonstrate thought leadership and strategic influence across all levels of the organization, with opportunity to build and lead a team as our business performance function scales.

Who you are:

• 7+ years of relevant experience within a fast-paced and dynamic business environment.

• Understanding Marketing ROI (return on investment) concepts, such as ROAS, incrementality, cohort analyses and CLV (customer lifetime value)

• Able to drive change in a complex organisation by challenging status quo and influencing senior leadership

• Exceptional communication skills, capable of articulating complex analyses clearly and concisely to leadership.

• Highly analytical, with experience with BI tools (e.g., Tableau, Looker)

• Desirable-understanding of data warehouse architecture and database querying (e.g., SQL)

• Strategic mindset, leveraging data-driven insights and business acumen to steer key business decisions.

• Dynamic and proactive, thriving in a results-driven environment and consistently driving projects forward.

• Advanced proficiency in Google Suite, MS Office, and financial modelling, with experience in ERP or CPM systems highly beneficial.

Please note this role is a hybrid position based out of our Berlin headquarters. Its essential you can based in Berlin or open to relocation. We can discuss relocation and visa support as we move the successful candidate through the interview process.
