On behalf of our client, JUMBO S.A., we are seeking a business-minded, strategically-oriented Head of Accounting to reinforce the management of the Finance Department. Reporting directly to the CEO and collaborating with the Managing Director, the Head of Accounting must act as a consultant to senior leadership.
The primary responsibility of the role is to ensure accurate and strategic financial reporting and safeguard regulatory compliance while overseeing the management of financial processes. In addition, they will own the evolution and streamlining of financial and accounting procedures, and contribute to the improvement of Management Information Systems, driving growth and productivity with vision and integrity.

Responsibilities:
• Providing high-level administrative and financial support during the preparation of recurring company budgets, enabling strategic growth and resource optimisation.
• Developing financial and accounting procedures and evolving them to simplify workflows and increase productivity, favouring agile and effective solutions for operational improvement.
• Preparing and presenting financial statements and business results for senior leadership, interpreting financial data and translating it into insightful, actionable business intelligence.
• Steering the integration of Management Information Systems (MIS) to automate routine reporting and provide the systemic logic needed for rapid decision-making.
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to support the company's financial activities, identifying and implementing opportunities to increase efficiencies and create value
• Deep knowledge of local and international accounting standards & best practices, combined with the structured, analytical and systems-oriented thinking that can adapt and apply them to the specifics needs of each business environment.
Requirements:
• University degree, preferably at the postgraduate level, in Accounting or Economics, with a strong background in financial theory and an understanding of international markets.
• 10+ years of work experience in corporate accounting and finance, with a demonstrated understanding of large-scale retail and e-commerce.
• Advanced proficiency with both general and specialised digital tools, including MS Office, data analysis and modeling tools, management information systems, accounting and ERP software.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Greek and English, with the ability to inspire and influence cross-functional teams.
• Demonstrated experience in advising and liaising with high-level stakeholders, providing strategic foresight that leads to tangible business outcomes.
