If you’re looking to being part of a team driving the latest food trends across Australia and have a passion for leadership, Sodexo are on the lookout for experienced Head Chefs for several of our remote sites. This is an excellent opportunity if you are a people person, enjoy leading by example and have the ability to manage your 'hands on' Chef duties alongside your administrative duties to join the Sodexo Family.

About the role

The successful candidate will be expected to provide leadership, coordinate, and support staff in maintaining a customer focused, secure and safe working environment across the site whilst providing the highest level of service.

In this high-performance environment, you will achieve success by consulting with stakeholders on a regular basis while driving performance within the Team.

We take safety seriously, so adhering to our policies and procedures to ensure the safety of yourself and your colleagues is paramount. Developing a strong safety-focused culture within your Team is vital.

Who are we looking for?

You have a passion for food and leadership and thrive in a fast-paced environment, you are able to handle pressure with ease and possess the following qualifications and attributes;

• Trade Certificate, Cert III or Cert IV in Commercial Cookery
• Australian Citizenship, Permanent Residency, Full working rights
• Experience in a similar role is desirable
• Strong leadership skills and focus on safety and customer service
• You will have extensive experience in large high volume kitchen environments and a thorough working knowledge of the resources sector
• Flexibility to work a variety of rosters and shifts
• A great attitude
