The Opportunity
We are currently seeking a Project Coordinator – Hazardous Building Materials to join our team in Edmonton or Calgary. This role involves managing environmental consulting projects, conducting field assessments, and supporting regulatory compliance initiatives.
Key Responsibilities
Promote and follow company Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) policies and procedures
Identify and report hazards, incidents, and safety concerns
Conduct hazardous building materials assessments
Perform site inspections and air monitoring during abatement projects
Manage projects from initiation to completion, including budgeting, cost tracking, and invoicing
Review and interpret laboratory data in collaboration with technical experts
Prepare and review technical reports and client deliverables
Maintain accurate project documentation and internal records
Monitor project performance and provide updates to leadership
Mentor junior team members and support team development
Stay informed on environmental regulations and industry standards
Submit time, expense, and project entries within required timelines
Qualifications
B.Sc. in Environmental Science or related field
Occupational Health & Safety Diploma (asset)
Minimum 3 years of relevant field experience with demonstrated project coordination or management skills
Eligibility for a relevant professional designation, with willingness to work toward certification
